How Pikobuy shipping payment works

Pikobuy uses a two-payment flow. The first payment covers the product purchase and China-side costs. After your items reach the warehouse and you submit a parcel, Pikobuy packs the parcel, measures it, weighs it, shows available third-party logistics routes, and asks for the second payment for international freight.

Publicly disclosed fee layers

  • International freight: depends on destination, route, item type, weight, dimensions, and carrier rules.
  • Platform service fee: Pikobuy's user agreement states that the platform service fee is calculated as 8% of freight.
  • Insurance and surcharges: route results can include insurance price and route-specific surcharges.
  • Customs, taxes, brokerage, penalties, remote-area charges, or return costs can be separate and are generally the user's responsibility.

What affects the final shipping price

The public estimator is only an estimate. Pikobuy states that final shipping is based on the actual weight and measurement after warehouse packing. A light but bulky item can cost more than expected if the carrier charges by volume weight instead of actual weight.

Useful checks before submitting

  • Confirm every item has passed QC before consolidation.
  • Compare actual weight and volume weight before choosing a line.
  • Remove unnecessary boxes when safe, but keep protection for fragile items.
  • Check route support for general goods, sensitive goods, charged items, pure batteries, liquids, electronics, branded apparel risk, and destination customs uncertainty.
  • Read the route's service description, delivery estimate, tax label, insurance availability, and declaration limits before payment.

When to split a parcel

Consider splitting when the parcel becomes too heavy, includes mixed restricted categories, or one shipping line is safer for part of the haul. Smaller parcels can be easier to manage, but they may increase total shipping cost.

Risk boundary

Pikobuy says international delivery is provided by third-party logistics companies. That means customs seizure, delivery delay, damage, loss, and carrier claim outcomes are not fully controlled by Pikobuy. Use insurance where it makes sense, keep item value and declaration limits in mind, and avoid shipping items that violate local laws or route restrictions.
